PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new organic material, easily synthesized, having a high electric charge transferability and an excellent processability, and useful as a semiconductor or a charge transport material.;SOLUTION: This new reactive mesogenic benzodithiophene derivative, the use of it as the semiconductor or an electric charge transport material in a liquid crystal display, an optical film, an optical, electrooptical or electronic device such as an organic electric field effect transistor (FET or OFET) for an integrated circuit device such as a thin film transistor liquid crystal display, an RFID tag, etc., an electric light generation device for a flat panel display and a photo-electricity generation and sensor device, and the electric field effect transistor, a light generation device or an ID tag containing the reactive mesogenic benzodithiophene are provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
