PURPOSE: To prepare starting materials for a ceramic sintered compact less liable to undergo grain orientation without increasing cost or causing problem on difference between brands and to produce a ceramic sintered compact using the starting materials. ;CONSTITUTION: Powdery starting materials for a ceramic sintered compact are prepd. so that the ratio of the particle diameter to the thickness of each primary particle of ≥90wt.%, preferably ≥95wt.%, especiall preferably that of all of the starting materials is regulated to 1-5 and the average particle diameter of the primary particles of all the starting materials is regulated to ≤10μm.
