PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester multifilament conjugate yarn giving a woven or knit fabric having moderate springiness, stiffness and drapeability, soft downy and powdery touch and excellent appearance and touch with natural unevenness and squeak and obtain a woven or knit fabric of a polyester conjugate fiber having high quality and produced by using the conjugate yarn. ;SOLUTION: This polyester multifilament conjugate yarn is composed of a polyester multifilament A and a polyester multifilament B combined with each other at a denier ratio of 15-60% to 85-40% and interlocked at an interlocking degree of 20-120/m. The objective woven or knit fabric is produced by using the conjugate yarn. The polyester multifilament yarns A and B have the following characteristics: SHWA of the polyester multifilament yarn A is -3 to +3%, SHWB of the polyester multifilament yarn B is 10-60%, DT≥3.5g/d, dpf≥2.0d, BSH≥3.0% and ΔSHW=SHWB-SHWA≥15%.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
