PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Fe-based soft magnetic metallic glass sintered body having an excellent soft magnetic characteristic and a high green density by sintering powder of an Fe-based soft magnetic metallic glass alloy which can increase the temperature interval ΔTx =Tx -Tg of an supercooled liquid to a specific value or larger. SOLUTION: An Fe-based soft magnetic metallic glass alloy used as material powder can increase the temperature interval ΔTx =Tx -Tg (where Tx is the starting temperature of crystallization and Tg is the glass transition temperature) of a supercooled liquid to =3.5K. The used metallic glass alloy is composed mainly of Fe containing other metals and metalloids. The material powder is thrown in the space between the upper and lower punches 2 and 3 of a discharge plasma sintering device and molded by pushing the punches 2 and 3 toward each other from both the top and bottom sides while a chamber is evacuated to a vacuum and, at the same time, applying a pulse-like current upon the powder.
