Reliable improvement manner and NMS system null of the communication in the NMS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an NMS system capable of guaranteeing the reliability of communication on a network using connectionless UDP/IP and SNMS protocols. ;SOLUTION: A manager performs communication with an agent with the combination of a normal communication path and a network managing device according to decision on the normality of communication paths 31 and 32 based on a health check by a network managing device 1 or 2 and decision on the normality of communication paths based on switching of the network managing device. When an event from the agent is received, the continuity of sequential message identification numbers applied to the received event is decided. When continuity is abnormal, resending of the event is requested to the agent and the continuity of the resent event is decided. Further, when event receiving is stopped at the time of event receiving, the agent is made repeatedly send out the event in a fixed cycle and a heartbeat check is performed for deciding the fault conditions of the event.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
