PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a country of origin management system for an article wherein the country of origin is precisely displayed in an export document.;SOLUTION: In this country of origin management system for the article, an article management server 10 comprises an article account database 11, an origin database 12, a shipping article database 13, a means 13 for inputting country of origin information to the database 11 based on the country of origin information transmitted from an article producing client terminal 30, a country of origin automatic updating means 15 for automatically performing an updating when the country of origin information of the database 11 is updated, a country of origin notation instructing means 16 for transmitting the country of origin information to a written work instruction issuing device 21 and instructing the notation in a written work instruction 25, and a shipping article recording means 17 for recording the country of origin information of an overseas shipping article to the shipping article database 13.
