PURPOSE: To provide a construction method for installing a water regulating door in a passage without blocking the flow of water, in which irrigation water can be used even during the period of an installation work and the cost of construction can be reduced. ;CONSTITUTION: With a door frame 2 previously located according to a designated position where to dispose a water regulating door 5, the door frame is solidified by a solidifying member 3 to form a door frame structure 1, and the door frame structure 1 is installed in a passage 4. Subsequently, a gap formed between the end surface of the door frame structure 1 and a wall 6 for forming the passage 4 is isolated from the passage 4 by a seal member 8, and the wall 6 and the door frame structure 1 are fixed. A water regulating door 5 is mounted on the door frame 2.
