PURPOSE: To provide a mounting-on-arm type portable apparatus and mounting- on-arm type pulse wave measuring instrument which allow the easy attachment and detachment of a cable extending from a sensor unit to and from an apparatus body, is capable of inputting and outputting information via the cable in the state of the apparatus held mounted on the arm by providing the apparatus with a connector mechanism to prohibit the casual disengagement of the cable in a non-obstructive position and are usable as ordinary wristwatches as well. ;CONSTITUTION: The mounting-on-arm type pulse wave measuring instrument 1 (mounting-on-arm type portable apparatus) is used by mounting the apparatus body 10 at the arm by means of a wrist band 12 and mounting a sensor unit 30 at the root of the finger by means of a band 40 with a narrow width for fixing the sensor. A connector piece 80 is constituted at the front end of a cable 20 extending from the sensor unit 30. This connector piece 80 is mounted simply by sliding the connector piece on the connector part formed in the six o'clock direction of the wristwatch of the apparatus body 10 toward a twelve o'clock direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
