PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly and accurately detect shape changes in a continuous bag zone 5, due to the presence of a bag section 5e, including stored objects without damaging the bag section 53 and the stored objects in the bag section 5e.;SOLUTION: The shape change detection apparatus for continuous bag zones comprises a belt transport means 1, where the continuous bag zone 5 is pinched flat for transporting continuously in a specific direction by a pair of transport belts 6 and 7 that oppose front and rear sections 5a and 5b of the continuous zone 5, including stored objects, and guide members 8 and 9 for guiding each of the belts, an air suction path 2 having an air suction opening 35, that faces close by least one of the front and rear sections 5a and 5b of the continuous bag zone 5 being carried by the belt transport means 1, an air suction means 3 that operates to suck air from the air suction opening 35 through the air suction path 2, and a pressure change detection means 4 for detecting pressure change in the air suction path 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
