摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adaptively controlling an array antenna so that the major beam is directed in the direction of a desired wave and nulls are directed in directions of a interference wave without requirement of any reference signal.;SOLUTION: A transmitted radio signal is an m-phase PSK modulation signal. An adaptive control type controller 20 employs e.g. the maximum grade method being an iterative numerical solution of a nonlinear programming, and calculates and sets a reactance value of variable reactance elements 12-1 to 12-6 so as to direct the major beam of an ESPAR (Electronically Steerable Passive Array Radiator) antenna system 100 in the direction of the desired wave and direct the nulls in the direction of interference by maximizing a value of an objective function (formula 14) expressed by the m's power of the received signal y(t) received by an exciting element A0 of the ESPAR antenna system 100.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
