PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a bulk enormous magnetoresistance effect material which contains an oxide magnetic material as a main component and has an MR ratio in characteristics, comparative to or exceeding that of the conventional enormous magnetoresistance effect material of thin films. SOLUTION: The ferrite powder for enormous magnetoresistance effect materials is an MFe2O4 (M: Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Mg) ferrite powder having a mean grain size of 10-700 nm.
