PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a titanium or titanium alloy material having a color tone accepted as the same, by a numerical fixed standard without recourse to sense. ;SOLUTION: When a specular gloss with respect to a titanium or titanium alloy material having 10-100% specular gloss at 45° incident angle and also having a desired color tone is made a standard, the tolerance of the specular gloss (y), in the case where an impression of the same color tone is produced is within the range of specular gloss 0.87-1.15 times the specular gloss (x) of the titanium material as the standard, as shown in the figure. Accordingly, the titanium material having a specular gloss 0.87-1.15 times the standard specular gloss can be taken as the titanium or titanium alloy material having attractive and uniform surface gloss.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
