PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen a difference in distribution of illuminance on a display surface by providing plural projecting parts at fixed spaces and in alternately eccentric positions on both sides of the center line of a holding frame on the lower surface of the holding frame stretched on the display surface at a designated height. ;SOLUTION: An illuminating device 4 is provided with plural projecting parts 15... formed at fixed spaces in the longitudinal direction and in alternately eccentric positions on both sides with respect to the center line on the lower surface 14 side of a long holding frame 5 stretched on a display surface 3 at a designated height. The holding frame 5 is installed to be adjusted in height between both leg frames 6, 6 raised from the display surface 3. Further, the lower surface 14 of the holding frame 5 can be bent along the center line to control the angle made between the horizontal plane and the lower surface 14. Further, the projecting part 15 is so constructed that each tip of plural optical fibers or light guides disposed in the holding frame extending from a display table through the interior of the leg frame 6 faces on the lower surface 14, and the forward end is provided with a diffusing element, thereby guiding light of a light source from the base end of the optical fiber or the light guide to be emitted from the tip.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
