Slope greening base material and slope greening method

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject base material which can prevent the soil erosion of especially a slope, or the like, and can germinate plants at a high germination rate, by using a specific pulp as a main component. SOLUTION: This base material for greening slopes contains kenaf pulp as a main component. The method for greening a slope comprises diluting the slope-greening base material containing the kenaf pulp as a main component with water, mixing the diluted base material with a greening material such as the seeds of a plantation plant, and then spraying the mixture on the slope by the use of a pressure spraying machine. Thus, the kenaf pulp can effectively be used as the base material for greening the slopes. Namely, the kenaf can be used as the spraying base material for greening the slope by chipping reaped kenaf, mechanically treating the chips to prepare mechanical (kenaf) pulp, drying the pulp, properly diluting the pulp with water to prepare the slurry, and then using the slurry as the greening base material.
