PURPOSE: To improve the alkali and gaseous CO resistances and spalling resistance of castable refractories for repairing a blast furnace by spraying, to improve shock resistance by enhanced strength and to prolong the service life of a repairing material. ;CONSTITUTION: The objective castable refractories consist of 20-40wt.% SiC stock of ≥1mm particle diameter, alumina cement having ≤0.2wt.% Fe₂O₃ content metallic fibers of 0.2-0.3mm diameter and the balance aluminous refractory stock, etc.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
