PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a louver having a thoroughly deliberated measure for protection against snow, as well as a measure for preventing penetration of rainwater or the like from the outside.;SOLUTION: A snow protection louver with hood, which is to be fixed to the ventilating hole of a building, a factory or the like, is provided. A vane member 5 of a louver 2 consists of a vertical piece 12, front side pieces 13 and rear side pieces 14 both provided at right angle to the front and rear ends of the vertical piece, respectively, and inclined pieces 15 provided inside in the vicinity of the left and right ends of the front side pieces, respectively, with their tips being open and expanded. A number of such vane members are alternately disposed in tandem, being in face to face, in a frame 4 with the front pieces each being positioned outside. A ventilating gap 11 is formed in each of the vane members. The inclined pieces which are positioned opposite to each other in the adjacent vane members are provided so that their parallel condition can be maintained. A hood 3 is fixed to the front surface of the louver and an opening 45 is formed at the lower part of the louver.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
