PURPOSE: To make it possible to attain efficiency and safety of the operation of a sewing machine by controlling a controller for controlling the speed especially during the operation of the controller. ;CONSTITUTION: A sewing machine frame 1 is provided with a controller 5 for converting the control input to an electric signal, a sewing machine motor 4, the speed of which is controlled by the controller and driven, a speed storage means 8 and an automatic operation command means 9 for automatically operating the sewing machine motor 4 at an arbitrary speed, a starting operation means 10 for starting the automatic operation, and a central processing unit 2 for controlling these means. The sewing machine frame 1 is provided with a release means 11 for releasing automatic operation when it exeeds the control input at the time of a command of the controller 5 after an automatic operation command to be restored to the ordinary operation, and the release means 11 is operated by the operation of the controller 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
