PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unpaved road judging device that can positively judge whether or not a road is an unpaved road including a gravel road and a dirt road and provide an anti-skid control device that can appropriately perform brake fluid pressure control on the unpaved road. ;SOLUTION: An unpaved road judging device is provided with a linear longitudinal acceleration of a vehicle and outputting a singal linearly proportional to this acceleration, and a variation computing means for computing the variation of output of the linear longitudinal acceleration sensor 1 corresponding to the change of a slip factor computed by a slip factor computing means. The variation computed by the variation computing means is compared with the reference value, and when the variation exceeds the reference value, the vehicle is judged to be traveling on an unpaved road. On the basis of the judged result, an anti-skid control device regulates an actuator 30 onto the pressure intensifying side compared to brake fluid pressure control during travel on a paved road.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
