PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a butt end boring processing machine capable of automatically and precisely setting a position for boring a hole for inserting a connection metal on a butt end by a simple structure.;SOLUTION: The butt end boring processing machine for applying boring to the butt end of a pillar material of a square section is equipped with a centripetal vise 9; a boring machine main body 11 which can ascend and descend and is equipped with a main shaft motor 15 to which a drill is provided; an inclined arm 35a which is fitted to a holding plate 9a side of one side and extends by being inclined at 45° downward; photoelectric switches 37a and 37b which are fitted to the boring machine main body 11, and set a height for boring by the drill 13 by detecting the inclined arm 35a; and a boring controller for executing boring by the drill 13 by a method wherein when a boring height is set, rise of the boring machine main body 11 is stopped, and stroke motion is executed toward a side wherein the pillar material is clamped while the main shaft motor 35 is driven.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
