PURPOSE: To propose a box-shaped body made of a honeycomb sandwich panel which is free from the lacking part and buckling of a honeycomb core, has high rigidity and strength, forms no large curved part in the corner parts, is good at appearance and design, can be produced simply, easily, continuously, and at a low cost and a method for manufacturing the box-shaped body. CONSTITUTION: First, for a honeycomb sandwich panel l, an outside skin board 3 and a honeycomb core 4 are cut along the first folding lines B leaving an inside skin board 2. For a honeycomb core 12 on one side of a cutting plane, after a void part 13 being formed by cut-removing or crushing, the inside skin board 2 on one side of the void part 13 is folded along the first folding line B or the second folding line C. Then, the inside skin board 2 and the outside skin board 3 which were positioned on both sides of the void part 13 are glued to a honeycomb core 14 on the other side which is positioned oppositely, the end surfaces 17, 16 of an adjacent honeycomb core 15, the inside skin board 2, etc.
