PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a fork in the optimum ground clearance and tilt angle with respect to a fork insertion port of a palette, irrespective of a slope of a palette mounting face, and to reduce a cost by a single light emitter.;SOLUTION: This tilt angle detector 10 is composed of the emitter 11 for emitting a light beam such as a laser beam toward a front side of the fork in parallel to an axial direction of the fork, a tilt angle sensor 13 for detecting the tilt angle of the fork, a target tilt angle setting switch 14 for setting a target tilt angle of the fork, a controller 15 for comparing a detected tilt angle with the target tilt angle to determine whether the both are consistent each other or not, or whether a difference between the both is within a specified value or not, a sensitivity setting switch 16 for changing the specified value, a relay 17 for issuing an operation signal to the emitter 11, and an electric power source selecting switch 20 for conducting selection between a battery 12 in an emitter side and a battery 19 in a detector body side to be used. When the detected value in the tilt angle sensor 13 is consistent with the target tilt angle, or when the difference between them is within the specified value, a signal is output from the controller 15 to the relay 17 to make the relay 17 turned on, and the emitter 11 emits the light beam such as the laser beam to inform an operator.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
