Use of deoxyspergualin (I), i.e. ( plus or minus )-1-amino-19-guanidino-11-hydroxy-4,9,12-triaza-nonadecane-10,13-dione .3HCl, to prepare a medicament for therapy and prophylaxis of inflammatory hyperreactive diseases is new.
