Acicular FeOOH and its production manner

摘要

PURPOSE: To obtain an acicular α-FeOOH and the producing method free from the causing of branches in the acicular α-FeOOH, uniform in particle shape, narrow in particle diameter distribution and improved in magnetic property as a magnetic recording material finally synthesized. ;CONSTITUTION: The acicular α-FeOOH contains 0.1-10M% (mol%) 4-valent metal of Ti⁴⁺ and/or Sn⁴⁺ per Fe. And the producing method is to form the acicular α-FeOOH by adding a solution containing 0.1-10M% 4-valent metal of Ti⁴⁺ and/or Sn⁴⁺ per Fe in the process for forming the acicular α-FeOOH by mixing a ferrous salt aq. solution with an alkaline aq. solution and charging an oxidizing gas.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
