PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress interference with other packets during transmission and to reduce a packet error rate. ;SOLUTION: A mobile station starts transmission of a stored packet A at first as shown in the middle part of Figure and starts transmission of a packet B after a prescribed time τs. Then the mobile station sequentially starts transmission of packets C, D at an interval of the prescribed time τs. Since an individual code is assigned to each packet and each packet is transmitted at a comparatively lower transmission rate, the transmission of the packets is overlapped by setting the prescribed time τs sufficiently shorter, and the transmission power of the mobile station indicates smooth steps as shown in the lower part of Figure. Since the period of the transmission power control of the mobile station is set shorter than the prescribed time τs, even if a transmission signal of other packets transmitted in parallel at the same time causes an interference wave, increasing the power of a desired wave in the transmission power control can maintain an Eb/No at a required value or over.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
