An elevated cultivation method and elevated cultivation bed (20), using a medium for plant cultivation (15) involving water purification cake (11) and EM ceramic powder (13), and irrigation with activated water obtained after water purification treatment and treatment to reduce the fineness of clusters of water molecules. The cultivation bed (20) does not have any drainage ports. In the elevated cultivation bed (20), a nonwoven fabric sheet 27 which is a protective sheet and a plastic sheet (26) which is nonpermeable sheet are laid on the inside surface of a box-shaped frame (24) comprised of a wire mesh.
