An additive for Cement slurry which comprises Fly Ash with a predominant particle size of up to 10 microns and / or aluminous material with a particle size of predominant up to 150 microns. The Additive acts as a reducing Agent in water and can partially or fully replace conventional ones.The slurry includes one or both of the components mentioned above and a Mineral Additive is added in an amount sufficient to give an effect of water reduction. The method to reduce water requirements includes adding an effective amount of one or both of the two components (Ashes or aluminous material above).
