A second arm (12) of a L-shaped hinge part (1, 2) secured to a profiled strip (9) in the door or window is fixed against a rib (13) on this strip using at least one screw (7) which has been screwed into a tensile part (8), so that the rib is clamped between the second arm and tensile part. At least a section of the tensile part cooperates with a guide surface extending in the strip length direction on the rear side of the second arm. Once the screw has been screwed a certain distance into the tensile part, the latter becomes tilted with one of its side edges (17) beneath the rib. At least one of the two hinge parts is L-shaped and the first arm (10) has the hinge pin (3) extending through it.
