The invention provides a method for producing eukaryotic cell culture polypeptides in micro-vehicles, the method comprising the steps of (i) culturing cells expressing said polypeptide on micro-vehicles under conditions and at an appropriate setpoint temperature for expression of said polypeptide; (ii) cooling the culture to a predetermined temperature below said setpoint; (iii) sediment the micro vehicles; and (iv) harvesting all or part of the culture medium.
