Removal of chlorinated hydrocarbons and CrVI from underground water and soils under reducing conditions by applying whey and molasses

The present invention relates to improvement of soils and underground water contaminated with chlorinated hydrocarbons by creating reducing conditions and by making use of both sweet and sour dairy whey as an organic substrate by employing method of a reducing dehalogenation without necessity to pump underground water or excavate the contaminated soil.
