The present invention relates to a specific cuvette, the inner surface of which being coated with a dried reagent comprising agglutinin extracted from potato, or the cuvette comprises a porous membrane disk, into which said reagent has been dried. A method for determination of an analyte in the plasma fraction of a sample of whole blood, comprises applying a sample of whole blood into the above-described cuvette so as to accomplish agglutination of the blood cells, and subsequently determining the analyte in the presence of the agglutinated blood cells. A diagnostic kit comprises, in a packaged combination at least one analyzer cuvette, the inner surface thereof being coated with a dried reagent comprising agglutinin extracted from potato, or the cuvette(s) having in them a porous membrane disk, into which said reagent has been dried and a sampling capillary with heparin, reaction buffer and instruction for use.
