The present invention relates to a glass door for fire-preventive purposes having a fire-protective pane (2) containing an active substance producing foam due to the action of heat, and a supporting structure of wood taking up the weight of the fire-protective pane (2) and transmitting it through the mediation of articulated door hinges to a door frame (1). The supporting structures consists of two supporting sections (3, 4) from which one supporting section (3) is arranged lengthways of the bottom horizontal edge while the other supporting section (4) is arranged lengthways of the top horizontal edge of the fire-protective pane (2). The supporting sections (3, 4) are coupled with each another by vertical sections, the cross section of which is substantially smaller that that one of the supporting sections (3, 4). The vertical sections cover the vertical edges of the fire-protective pane (2) and on one of the two vertical sections, there is fastened a lock (5) body.
