The authenticating message comprising an input generated by external attacker, is received in the subscriber station. The correctness of the input is then checked by computing a message authentication code by utilizing the input and checking algorithm. The authentication message is identified of being generated by external attacker if the input is incorrect on the basis of message authentication code.
