A synthetic elastic film (19) is glued to both wooden parts (2- 6) forming the joint. A window frame comprises at least two wooden parts which are joined together with an elastic layer in between. The elastic layer comprises a synthetic film which is glued to both wooden parts. An independent claim is also included for a method for forming a joint between two wooden parts in this frame by gluing the film to a first wooden part, joining the first part to a second wooden part using at least one punch (20, 21) extending through an opening in the film and gluing the other side of the film to the second part.
