The machine (2) has a system (10) with two singulators and a transport system (4) transfers plants supplied in sheets to a former singulator, which splits off in rows the plants in the sheet. The transport system transfers the split up rows of plants in succession to the latter singulator for singulating the plants, and the singulated plants to deposit locations (30). A system (12) places plants in planting locations. The plants in sheets are accommodated in pots. The transport system is arranged to transfer the sheet with plants to the former singulator.
