Ergonomic computer mouse is for exchange effects with a computer and comprises a housing (1) and at least one mainly flat support side (2) which in use supports the housing on a base. The mouse also has devices for transmission of signals to the computer and a step which extends out of the housing. The step (3) is so connected with the housing so that in use it supports one or more fingers of a user. The step is sufficiently thick so that in use it sets in motion the input component reacting to a force exacted by the fingers of a user. Transmission of signals to the computer is by a connecting cable (4), which is fixed to the step at an attachment point.
