The invention relates to foundry work in particular to the technology of centrifugal casting of blanks for producing rollers used in machines for continuous casting of blanks. The inventive method consists in casting a metal melt of martensite-ferrite class into a rotatable ingot mold. Prior to casting and introducing iron powder (IP), a powder-like modifying additive is introduced into the melt until an outer layer of the blank is obtained. In accordance with the invention, when the outer layer of the blank is formed the introduction into the melt of the powder-like modifying additives continuously accompanied by a reduction in the consumption thereof down to zero. Simultaneously the iron powder is introduced into the melt with an increase the consumption thereof from zero up to 1.5 - 3.0 % in relation to the casting metal per second until the formation of an intermediate layer of a mixture of the powder-like modifying additives and the iron powder of 2-4 mm thickness. The iron powder is introduced until completion of the casting of the metal into the ingot mold.
