The method for predicting the cirrhosis of liver in children with chronic hepatitis B and C comprises the analysis of the clinical features. Besides, the following risk factors are taken into account: the overgrowth of the connective tissue, the bleeding of the gums, the blood serum content of arginine, the skin hemorrhages, the complications of the chronic hepatitis, the enlargement of the spleen, the value of prothrombine index, the portal hypertension, the peculiarities of proceeding, the jaundice of the newborns, the increase in erythrocyte sedimentation rate, the leukocytosis, the icterusof the sclera and the mucosa. The values obtained are used for calculations. Then by the ratio between the functions the probability of cirrhosis of liver in children with chronic hepatitis B and C is assessed.
