The proposed method of determining the efficiency of the gas-turbine unit axial-flow compressor in operation conditions consists in measuring an air temperature at the inlet of the compressor, an air compression ratio in the compressor, and the change of enthalpy in the isoentropy process of air compression. The change of enthalpy is determined from the energy-balance equation of the gas-turbine unit. For this purpose, the operations are carried out for measuring the heat-producing capacity of gas used as a fuel for the gas turbine, calculating the air flow rate in the compressor and the gas flow rate in the turbine of the gas-turbine unit by using the data on the gas chemical composition, the volume of air required for gas combustion, and the air excess coefficient that is determined by the data on the content of oxygen in the exhaust gases at the turbine outlet. The data on the gas temperature at the turbine inlet and outlet as well as the data on the air excess coefficient are used for determining enthalpy of gas in the turbine. The efficiency of the gas-turbine unit axial-flow compressor is calculated from the corresponding equation.
