摘要

The proposed method for biaxial compression test of materials consists in applying compression force to the side surfaces of the material sample and determining the sample deformation by the change of the dimensions and the area of the sample cross-section. The method differs in that the sample is coated with antifriction material before the test and placed at the central part of a cylindrical casing. The shape and dimensions of the casing cross-section are identical to the shape and dimensions of the sample cross-section. The compression forces acting on the sample in testing, are formed by extending the casing along its longitudinal axis.
