The proposed device for compressing the output signals of a communication processor for carrying out video conferences contains a communication unit, an information signal processing unit, a signal quality monitoring unit, and additionally, a signal priority detection unit, a unit for monitoring the processor load, and a unit for setting the parameters of signal digitization. The signal priority detection unit and the unit for monitoring the processor load are connected in parallel between the output of the information signal processing unit and the input of the unit for setting the parameters of signal digitization. The inputs of the signal quality monitoring unit are accordingly connected to the output of the unit for setting the parameters of signal digitization and the output of the unit for monitoring the processor load.
