The proposed portable radio station contains a transceiver, a microphone, and a control panel. At the control panel, a talk-listen button, an operation mode switch, a dial tone button, and an audio-volume control are installed. The microphone is connected separately from the control panel. Additionally, the radio station contains a noise suppressing control, which is installed at the control panel. The operation mode switch has a position for disconnecting the radio station from the power supply. The present invention provides the possibility to improve the performance and extend the functionality range of the radio station as well as protection against listening to talks when using the radio station.
