The proposed method for producing a container for modular radioactive waste storages consists in utilizing a rocket fuel tank, in which the top part of the internal shell is removed and the bottom of the container is fitted to the bottom part. To mount the cover of the container, an end part of the tank shell is used. To produce the cover and the bottom of the container, polymer composite material is used. The present invention provides the possibility to enhance reliability and reduce material consumption in constructing radioactive waste storages.
