A method for production of ion-exchange material on the basis of Li0,5MoWO3(PO4)2 provides for mixing of equimolar quantities of tungsten trioxide (WO3), molybdenum trioxide (MoO3), lithium-containing component, phosphorus-containing component, heating of obtained mixture to the temperature of 600-700 K, addition to the obtained product of an equimolar quantity of powder of metallic molybdenum (Mo) and reheating to the temperature of crystallization Li0,5MoWO3(PO4)2. At mixing, to the initial components lithium nitrate (LiNO3) is added at amount of 5-15 per cent by weight. As phosphorus-and lithium-containing components lithium metaphosphate LiPO3 is used, and reheating to the temperature of crystallization of ion-exchange material on the basis of Li0,5MoWO3(PO4)2 is performed at a pressure not less than 5.5 GPa.
