The bitumen spreading vehicle comprises a lorry (3) with a bitumen tank (1) having a volume of at least 6 cubic meters. A bitumen-spreading ramp (4) is incorporated behind the lorry rear wheels. The vehicle has a chipping spreading unit (7), which on its upper side has a small chipping compartment, and via a coupling device is connectable to a towbar at the rear of a chipping lorry (6), which is arranged to be drawn by the bitumen spreading lorry when the chipping spreader receiving compartment is being filled.
