Identical attachment devices are provided at both end portions of a flexible hose element. Each attachment device is arranged to facilitate insertion into a connector (6) removed from the used vacuum cleaner hose. An expandable tubular unit (3) enlarges the diametral section due to manual holding and sealing against the used connector.
