Rail vehicle has a wagon and a separating device between the entrance section next to the door and a connecting passenger section having seats. The separating device has a cross beam running across the longitudinal direction of the wagon in the region of the wagon roof. A cross-support (15) connected to both ends of the neighboring wagon side walls is provided with an air distribution channel (17) and has an air inlet support (19) on its upper side (18) facing the roof of the wagon. An air distribution device is connected to the air distribution channel and opens out into the entrance region or into the passenger region.
