One or more rotating disc-shaped blade carriers(4) with knife blades(9) are located inside and close to the base(2) of a container. The outer edge(8) of one or more blade carriers is bent upwards to form an angled rim which diverts centrifuged plastic particles upwards onto the container side wall(3) from where they circulate back into the container central area. The turned-up section of the blade carrier extends over 0.05-0.12%, preferably 0.06-0.08% of the blade carrier radius.
