Device for drying very wet solids. The device is a combination of fluidized bed and mobile bed. The bottom of the moving bed is inclined to collect the water that drains from the solid. The desiccant is air or another hot gaseous mixture that is fed from the bottom of the fluidized bed and then passes through the moving bed. The solid is fed to the entrance of the moving bed and circulates due to gravity. In the mobile bed the solid undergoes a partial progressive drying and the entrained solids are captured from the fluidized bed, in which the final drying takes place. The device is equipped with automatic control systems for gas, liquid and solid flow rates, bed levels, temperature, solid output moisture and total internal pressure. It has application in the drying industry of granular solids.
