Eccentric compression testing of concrete test pieces consists of vertical incremental loading of a range of typical cross sections

The eccentric compression testing of concrete test pieces comprises application of a vertical load of increasing magnitude and variable position. The vertical deformation in the central zone of the control fibre of one of the faces is zero throughout and that of the other face is halved. Four different typical concrete cross-sections are covered by the test.
