The system has multiple sensors (2) capturing faults of a lift and sending fault data to a transmitter (3). The transmitter transmits to the fault date a central station unit (6) through a switched telephone network (4) or a mobile network (5). An alarm button is built into a cabin of the lift such that a person strikes the alarm button when the person is trapped in the cabin. A phone (7) is interconnected to the central station unit such that an operator communicates with the person by another phone (8) strategically built the cabin.
